SUMMER TERM UPDATE

This term we have been delivering FREE tennis across 8 schools and 1 college around the Finsbury Park area, both at the schools and on court in Finsbury Park. We have engaged with over 300 students, most of which had never picked up a racket before! A massive thank you to the support of our funders and supporters at Finsbury Park Tennis, especially the Morris Charitable Trust for making many of these sessions possible. We have also delivered tennis in 4 different estate based sessions since the Easter Holidays. We delivered 2 different estate sessions in collaboration with The Wickers Charity at Here East and Harrington Hill estate in hackney with a group of 10 young people. We also continued with our regular term time sessions at both Andover Estate and New Orleans Estate in Islington where over 40 young people have engaged, most of which have also never played tennis before. All young people are given the opportunity to continue playing on court at our FREE holiday camps or term time courses allowing continuity and the ability to choose tennis as a sport they can play regularly without the stigma or barriers associated. #tennisopenedup #inclusivetennis #tennisinthecommunity
