MIND UK (OUTCOME) SESSIONS

We have absolutely loved collaborating with the charity Mind UK and their fantastic LGBTQI+ project 'Outcome' over the summer!

Outcome is Islington Mind’s LGBTQI+ specialist service, run by LGBTQI people with LGBTQI people. Their main aim is to provide a sanctuary for LGBTQI+ people – somewhere safe to socialise free from discrimination or feeling like the “odd one out”, receive therapies to improve mental health, and enjoy learning new skills in a supportive atmosphere.

The participants enjoyed a number of fun beginner/improver tennis sessions with the option to head back to the projects base round the corner from the courts. Everyone was also invited along to play at our LGBTQ+ inclusive sessions on thursday evenings, which a few have already signed up for!

We hope to continue sessions such as these to demonstrate and promote the amazing mental health benefites of sport and physical activiities such as tennis!
