TENNIS
ESTATE

Home and work commitments are key identified barriers that often prevent adults from taking part in physical activities. To address this we have set up pop-up clubs across estates in Hackney, Islington and Haringey. In this way we will reach out to and introduce tennis to communities in some of the most deprived areas in the country. This approach helps to eliminate or reduce the need for participants to travel.
We work closely with local housing groups and council members to help inform future redevelopment of play spaces in and around local housing estates. This approach has enabled us to outreach to local residents within the areas we work and adapt spaces to set up tennis sessions.

Meet the
Boatengs

The Boateng family are regular attendees of our Andover Estate programme. Regina is a local longstanding resident and a mother of four. Regina along with her four children have been coming along to our weekly tennis sessions over the past year.
We love the tennis session and the coaches. We are all learning from each other and look forward to it every week. The estate is full of good people and opportunities are what we need. Thank you Access to Sports for providing this opportunity.

I enjoy the lessons that we have on the estate and really like going to the tennis camps during the holidays. I think my tennis has gotten really good in the last two years. Tennis has become one of my favorite sports and is something I look forward to every week.
